Day 10

Phil Kessel
Birthday: October 2, 1987 (Age 22)
Hometown: Madison, Wisconsin
Height: 5 ft. 11 in.
Weight: 180 lb.
Position: Right Wing
Current Team: Toronto Maple Leafs
Past Teams: Boston Bruins (year)
Hockey Stuff:
- 5th overall in 2006
- represented the United States in the 2010 Vancouver Olympics
- Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy (2007)
- NHL "First Star" of the Week with 8 points (3 goals and 5 assists) in four games (2008)
- Boston Bruins' franchise record for most game-deciding shootout goals in a career: 9
- The first NHL rookie to be honored with the Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy
- Tied with Ed Olczyk for the longest point streak by a U.S.-born player in NHL history (18 games). He had 14 goals and 14 assists (making that 28 points)
Why I love him: As much as I'm really pissed at the fact that he was traded to the Leafs for a second round draft pick in 2010, a first round draft pick in 2011, and the SECOND OVERALL DRAFT PICK (which was the ever so sexy Tyler Seguin), he is now known for being the Leaf's most dangerous offensive player and finished his first season with 30 goals, 25 assists (and let's not forget that he missed 12 games with an off-season shoulder surgery). Clutch.
